Death of GWDA’s Marge Chaney

Marge Chaney, a champion of duckpin bowling, died on September 1st after a long battle with cancer.

Marge was the Executive Director and President of the National Duckpin Bowling Congress, and was inducted into the NDBC Hall of Fame in 1993.

Marge contributed her time and talents in a monumental way to contribute to and keep alive the game of duckpin bowling, as did her husband John – who also recently passed away.

We owe them both a lot.

For League Officers – Downloadable Match Schedules, Sanction Cards and Rule Book

Some league officers were looking for a few things – and here are the links to them.

Click HERE for weekly match schedules.  This is from our tenpin friends at bowl.com, but works for us too.  There are league schedules for anywhere from 4 to 48 teams.  We should find this much easier than making our own, or using ones that have been photocopied over and over from the 70’s.

If you are looking for league registration forms or sanctioning forms, they can be found by clicking HERE.  You can even fill it out online and print it out.

Finally, you can access the rule book HERE if you don’t have a hard copy.

GWDA 2014-2015 Average Book

We are pleased to present the GWDA average book for the 2014-2015 season.  It includes the top 20 GWDA Men and Women, some historical information, as well as a tribute to the late John Chaney.

When looking at averages, you’ll also notice a “composite” average column.  This is the average of all of the GWDA leagues and tournaments that a bowler has bowled in for the 2014-2015 season.

Hard copies of the average books are still available for sale by clicking here to email Liz Roth.

Click here to access the average book online!  If you want to “skip ahead” – the actual averages begin on page 23.
